Meet My Horse Friend....

I wanted so badly to get on the other side of the fence and run around with him. He is beautiful when he turns to run with his tail high in the air. Almost as pretty as me.

Traveling Northern Michigans snowmobile trails, mainly the Gaylord and surrounding areas is our winter pasttime. We'll share with you the conditions on the trails as we're riding, what's happening in the snow at our motel/bed and breakfast and anything else one of us wants you to know!

Hard to believe that you are out walking around and feeding horses with bare ground all around. You did this apparently on January 5th. How strange it is to look back at your post from December 5th and you were riding snowmobiles. Now January 5th, it would be nice enough to ride horses. I think it would be best if the snow were up to the horses bellies or higher. Keeping my fingers crossed for snow and cold soon.
Frustrated in Ohio
This is great info to know.
Mother Nature is very fickle. Temperature changes of 20 degrees overnight is nothing unusual here in Michigan. Add rain to that, and snow leaves quickly.
But it can arrive just as quickly. We had 9 inches of snow overnight... and with warmer temps today, there's just barely an inch or two ont he ground tonight.
