How did the world survive

How did the world survive before cell phones? Doesn't it make you wonder? I don't think you can go anywhere and not see/hear people on their cell phones.
I understand their importance when it comes to emergencies. I've had to use mine for those times when a. sliding off the road and ending in a ditch
b. lost and calling for directions
c. calling in someone elses accident
d. what do you need me to pick up at the store
Have you noticed how people just can't stand to be alone at all, and have their phone to their ears constantly... and are jabbering non stop... while they're driving, while they're in the store, when they're dining out, when they're checking in, when they're out on the snowmobile trail and pulled over for a break;
its just non stop. Now they have the fancy little ear phones so you don't even have to hang onto the phone... won't be long and they'll be implanted right into the ear like an earring or a tatto.
