My Favorite Things...........parody

This parody was written for Julie Andrews birthday... thought you might enjoy it.

Maalox and nose drops and needles for knitting,
Walkers and handrails and new dental fittings,
Bundles of magazines tied up in a string,
These are a few of my favorite things.

Cadillacs and cataracts, hearing aids and glasses,
Polident and Fixodent and false teeth in glasses,
Pacemakers, golf carts and porches with swings,
These are a few of my favorite things.

When the pipes leak,
When the bones creak,
When the knees go bad,
I simply remember my favorite things,
And then I don't feel so bad.

Hot tea crumpets, corn pads for bunions,
No spicy hot ood or food cooked with onions,
Bathrobes and heat pads and hot meals they bring,
These are a few of my favorite things.

When the pipes leak,
When the bones creak,
When the knees go bad,
I simply remember my favorite things,
And then I don't feel so bad.

Back pains, confused brains and no fear of sinnin,
Thin bones and fractures and hair that is thinnin
And we won't mention our short shrunken frames,
When we remember our favorite things.

When the pipes leak................................................................................................
when the bones creak,........................................................................................
When the knees go bad,
I simply remember my favorite things
And then I don't feel so bad!

You can be thankful I didn't sing this for you... I'm sure your voice is much prettier.

Well hello every one, its Menonite Dan. I'm sorry for not replying earlier but I must admit that I deleted the web address for this site and some one hasn't put it back up on the daily report on the hotel's web site. Since I last left the hotel I made my 4 day trip across the country to the west coast, now in Spokane Washington. The drive was ok but pulling a trailer that far is not the funnest thing to do, but what are you to do when there is a new sled waiting to see snow. I found a nice apartment, garage included so the toys are all nice and tucked away. I've been snowmobiling twice (only 1 hour drive from the house). Last weekend I went up to go but I forgot the keys to the sled so back in the truck I went and drove home in disgust. Laura is coming over to visit tommorow through monday. well I'm back to work.

Dan
