The Things People Ask

Of course the world is full of all kinds of people... to make the world an interesting place, right?
We get a call tonight from a lady asking if we have any rooms available for a weekend later in Feb. Yes, we do. Good - she'd like one. She'll be coming in approx. 2 am Friday night, which will actually at that time be Sat AM... and since it'll be Sat. AM she'll only have to pay for one night, right?
WRONG! What she's really asking is if there is a two nights for the price of one. Which there is not! Hey Lady, we can rent that room to someone Friday night. Why would we give you a two for one deal?
Good Luck trying to find a motel that will do that for you.

I sound a little cranky. Guess I am tired. Mike was the one who talked to her, and he was actually much nicer in his reply... but once he got off the phone; well if you know Mike, he had to rant a little.

Making the News!

We enjoyed the sunny almost spring like day by going to church, followed up with a two mile walk with Sparky. Picked up the Sunday edition of the Traverse City Record Eagle where Mike made the front page of Section B! ... a story on wishing for snow. I tried uploading it here but my computer skills are just very basic, and whatever I have tried hasn't worked so you can enjoy reading about Mike Ray's comments, although I am sure you can guess what he said!
