Snow Chanting

It doesn't seem like we've been able to get out and do much riding yet this year. The season is just beginning, isn't it?
The past several days have been very intense with a full house since Thursday night, and continueing through tonight. That means lots of work and very few free minutes. Add in a visit from family and it turns into a whirlwind of trying to keep up with all that needs to be done.
We had to eat tonight... and all the guests expected in today had arrived so we shrugged off the heavy weight of exhaustion and put our snow gear on and headed out the door. We rode down to Frederick to eat our supper.
It was a good ride. The groomer had just been thru so there were very few bumps. The ride back home was even better because it had gotten a little colder and we weren't moving around as much. We both agreed - it had been too short of a ride, but felt great getting out on the trail. It was alot of fun for a short while.
The trail is showing alot of brown... but its brown snow. Very ridable.
It was sunny today and warmed up to 32 degrees. Sun - Sun - GO AWAY! Colder temps come to STAY. That's our chant.
